10) We are now the humble owners of a minivan and we LOVE it! Who knew these two possibilities were synonymous?
9) Mick is hopeful the Aggies will be (re)invited into the Mountain West. By that time, USU may be the only university left in the WAC and Mick will be completely gray and 120 lbs. from all the stress induced anxiety... but hey, he'll be happy!
8) Jen attempted her first triathlon and amazingly lived to want to attempt another one... maybe...
7) Mick and Jen enjoyed a cross country ski getaway. Jen fell in love with cross country. Mick still has eyes for only Jen, but plans to try it again.
6) Spring brought a 28 hour round trip drive with the children. Three days of blissful magic at Disneyland, a venture to Sea World, and San Diego Zoo, plus a Pacific beach side sunset was enough to make up for “how much longer till we get to California?”
5) House painting- 90% complete. It has only taken two summers and is so not fun anymore...
4) Aspen was baptized, had her first dance recital, entered 3rd grade and now enjoys peace signs, cheer leading, choir and “cool” things. Her parents are not in the cool category.
3) Liberty is mastering reading in first grade. Her teacher says she is a friend to everyone and loves to help tie people's shoes. This summer, she taught herself to ride on two wheels and has not slowed down since.
2) Abbie now has her potty powers (HOORAY!). She turned three and attended preschool this fall. Her greatest loves are: dancing, singing, her sisters, skirts, and pink “sparkly shoes”.
1) Satisfactory health, steady employment, a roof overhead, food on the table, clothes on our backs, and good friends and family to enjoy the ride with. We have been blessed.
