Post Vacation BLAH!

Life gets put on hold when vacation occurs. The house sits dormant awaiting a return of usage. Water through the pipes, doors opening and closing. Maybe a few tulips start to bud, grass grows, mail and newspaper piles build up, but not much changes. When returning home the vacation is called into question.

Was it a dream?

Was the sun really shining on us, warming our skin like toast?
Was it us that sat in the sand and danced in the waves?
Did we really drive over 28 hours with children and survive to tell about it?
Did we ride whirls and twirls at the happiest place on Earth for three days without a "stomach" incident?

See exotic animals, feed them, let alone pet them?

Then, like a punch out of left field, real life hits instantly in the form of laundry piles, schedules, activities and the revolving dishwasher door.

Why can't every day be as simple, fun and fancy free as vacation? Oh, right, because then vacations wouldn't be so great!

  3. Looking at you guys sitting in the spinning tea cups made me want to puke. Not you guys, but the whirling and twirling the goes on in that death trap.

Looks like a fun vacation. Jealous about feeling the sand in between your toes, the sun on your skin and the sound of the ocean. What I wouldn't give to be there right about now!
