Aspen is now a first grade graduate. I hardly believe it. We went to the 'castle' park (Ryan's Place) to have a picnic and celebrate the arrival of summer vacation.

Hip Hip Hooray that summer is upon us!
Here's a few answers to some question about Aspen's first grade experience. Thanks for the idea Kim! I hope to remember to do this with all of my children at the end of each school year.
Who was your teacher? Mrs. Schmidt.
What was she like? Mean
What did you learn? To be friends. To say nice things to people if they say mean things to you.
What was your favorite thing to do in school? Go to lunch
What was your favorite food to eat for school lunch? Macaroni and pizza
What is your favorite book? The Giving Tree
What are you looking forward to about next year? Having fun with my new teacher.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A cheerleader, and a gymnast
What kind of car will you drive one day? A convertible.
What do you like to do for fun? Swim at the Aquatic Center.
What are you going to do this summer? Play with my friends and go to Bear Lake and the pool.
Who are your friends? Kaya, Aurie, Savannah, Tonia, Madelyn, Autumn, Mrs. Melanie,
Who is your best friend? Liberty, Abbie, Kaya, Aurie, Tonia, Savannah, Autumn, Madelyn, Mercedes.
What games do you play together? Play chainsaw master (tag game with a pretend chainsaw- what ever happened to Duck Duck Goose?) and soccer, jump on the tramp with the sprinkler, and take them to church if my mom says yes, and gymnastics on the grass.
Who knew I was so competitive! I can now see how parents could get kicked out of a game- not really. But the games were SO intense.
Then a few days later...our first big tear streaming skinner of the season.
All the while, we are still scraping paint off the house.
Dude, that's pretty awesome. I love the ironic twist of Mick's not-so-smiley face as Sir Laughs-A-Lot. I hope those weren't Spen's last games, as I secretly desire to come watch that competitive spirit playing some rousing game of soccer, or maybe even professional desk-throwing...you never know what new sport they'll come up with these days!
ReplyDeleteLove these pictures! I can't believe how big Abbie is getting, and that Aspen is going to be in second grade. I still remember vividly the day she was born. Man, I love those girls, and can't wait to spend more time with them..I don't want to miss anything!
ReplyDeleteCute pictures! I love Aspen's answers. Thanks for letting Tyson walk to school with her the last few months, he had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Aspen for finishing first grade! That was so fun to read all about you at this age! And I love that chainsaw game you talked about, I've never heard of it, but it sounds imaginatively exciting! And what a popular girl you are, not one best friend but several!
ReplyDeleteI loved all the new summer pictures at the park, the perfect summer place! What a cool park too! Mick's face is so ironic in the Sir Laugh a Lot space!!!
