Old Enough?

Liberty ventured to Kindergarten summer school today. I think she might possibly be the only gringo. Not really, but pretty close. Weird to be a minority in northern Utah. Makes for a great experience in diversity. As a mother, I like these opportunities for my children. I'm just hoping at least somebody speaks English to her. Hence, one of the many reason why she is attending summer school in the first place. I also love that four ladies from my ward are working in the classroom. She should enjoy herself.

When I got home from work this morning I promptly went in to wake up Lib. I could not find her. There were some pillows on her floor covering the gap between the floor and the bed. I checked there- no Libby. Finally I found her all dressed in her pretty blue new dress from Grandma Great, sitting on my bed watching cartoons. "Aspen helped me with the zipper" she said. She was excited for school. She did not want to eat, comb her hair or brush her teeth, she just wanted to watch cartoons and then go to school.

Now, it's quiet around here.
June will be a long month without Lib home in the mornings.
She still does not seem old enough for kindergarten this fall!

  1. You know what's funny? Yesterday Libby told me she was going to Kindergarten, and I thought she meant this fall. I said to her "I know! I'm so happy you're going to be in Kindergarten, and you and Jonah and Micah will all be the same age!" But she really DID mean that she was starting Kindergarten tomorrow!!!! I hope she has a fun time! She's such a fun girl, and we just love her!
