This American Life
One of my weekly favorites is listening to "This American Life" It is a radio show that features true stories of American people, and sometimes trends or the human interaction of true occurrences in America. I highly recommend you check out thisamericanlife.org and decide for yourself if you love it or hate it. I love the responses I get from these broadcasts. They make me happy, sad, full of laughter, enlightenment on particular subjects for which I am not familiar, and overall makes me a more knowledgeable person. The range of emotions is plentiful, and I prefer it that way. I look forward to downloading each weeks broadcast as a podcast- for free I might add- and listening to it on my Ipod while at work on the treadmill. Follow the above link (click the title of this post) to check out one of my favorite comedic television broadcasts of the same radio show! I know all you married folk out there will be in for some great 4 minute entertainment!

Years ago this show had a segment on pets, and read a story ... I think it was fictional, about a man with a pet armadillo. It was so moving, I still think about it sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHey! I didn't get to talk to Aspen but I talked to Libby for a bit. She was like, "Why don't you come over?" I said I had moved far away and she said, "No, you didn't!" in a voice that was like, "Tawna you're silly" Made me wish I could just go over and visit..hopefully Christmas. I had a job interview at a law firm. They called today and I have another interview Monday where I meet the lawyers. Scary! We'll see how it goes..it's in downtown denver, so it will cost me a fortune in gas and parking unless I figure out the transit here. And it won't pay enough so I'll probably do Target for 10-15 hours a week as well to pay for food and fun. But such is life. I've decided that I don't want to worry about money as much while I'm here, so when I move back next year I'll probably have to live at home for a year to pay off my debt. Such is the life of me!
