P.i.n.K. Fitness

My friend Nancy called me up a few weeks ago, three to be exact, and told me to check out a wanted classified add. So I did. It was Icon, looking for women who wanted to loose between 20-100lbs, working with a personal trainer(A.K.A., the cute Barbie standing among the 50 or so plus size Barbies), a dietitian(which I have yet to meet), all for the lovely price of $50.00, in exchange for our testimonial about the fitness program- following positive results of course!

I admit, I was skeptical, but intrigued. So I called. We had to meet at 7 a.m. (the crack of dawn for me), wearing our skin tight, much to yucky to be seen in clothes, prepared to take "before" pictures. Like I said there were several hopefuls geared up, at dawn, for the miracle cure. Nancy and I went together. I 've decided it takes a special friend to call you up to share info about a "Fitness experiment" she's encouraging you to take part in. It even takes a special friend not to be offended! I didn't even think negatively when she called, I was excited for a change up in life. I'm grateful she thought of me! Fortunately we both have had children lately and unfortunately, are hating the way our bodies portray us. This would be our second shared Battle of the Bulge.

Power, Image, Nutrition, Knowledge- (Pinkfitness.blogspot.com). I'm now three weeks in and starting to get compliments. Things are working if people are noticing. Mick earlier this evening said "I can tell you've lost weight, your butt looked smaller when I was standing behind you". Isn't he sweet!!! Such a compliment from a guy! I'll take it!

We eat whole, close to the earth foods and lots of meat 6 times a day for six days. Never full, never hungry is the aim. I'm definitely in my kitchen more than I hoped to be. On day 7, we get to eat what ever we want- a high calorie day to trick our metabolism, and take measurements. Then it starts again the next week. Most of you will recall how much I despise fish. Well, we eat a lot of fish. It actually hasn't been that bad, I think I've even been enjoying it-except Pollock!. My taste buds are maturing. Dad would be proud. Sorry dad, I still don't care for shrimp!

We work out three days a week for 20-40min, depending on how long it takes to stretch and lift. Yes, I wrote lift. This is a weight lifting program- and I love it! It has reminded me of the intricacies of dance. In fact it makes me want to take up dancing again. A dream my head desires, but not by body. I'm working up to learning Olympic weight lifting. The one you've seen on late night cable where the big grizzly guy, for some absurd reason, wants to lift a bar above his head. I know you are all now laughing at the image in your head, but be careful, I might someday be able to bench you!
Happy images!

Inches lost- in 2 weeks 9.5 Third week results are taken on Saturday. My favorite, we are not supposed to weigh ourselves, this makes me happy!

  2. I want someone to make me fit! And I love fish ... the getting up at 7 a.m. would be a bit tricky for me. I love not being prego anymore, and finally thinking about my body again.
