A Month Plus, Late- take two.

Dare I forget that Christmas 2010 came and went, there are a few moments (in pictures) I wanted to remember.

This year we saw Santa at the Brown Family Christmas Party. Far better than heading to the Mall, of all places. It was a wonderful night. Mick and I last went to this annual party in 2000, before children. This year it was at Mutual Dell, up American Fork Canyon. Never missing a chance to head up AF canyon, I was intent on going.

A mere hop, skip and two hour drive away, we made it. Having it up in the canyon reminded me of childhood family parties held at some ranger type station on the side of Orem hill, overlooking the city. Even if it did lack cars sliding out of control, men working together to remove cars from four feet of snow, and a few lovely people I miss; there were children in mass, sledding, big couches, familiar faces, the usual dessert and food and carols prompting Santa's coming.

Surrounded by tall pines and a near full moon, the kids sailed down makeshift loop d' loos created by packed icy snow and a staircase. Mom and I took a few crashes for the adult team and surprisingly came out of the fun in one piece with our bladders still functioning properly. We played with cousins we know and love and met some new cousins born sometime in the last ten years.

Will it be another 10 years until we return? Let's hope not.
