Counting My Blessings

Rains seem to fall during periods of people's lives. While the downpours have been few and far between for me, several dear friends have had rough patches that have caused me to count some of my many, MANY blessings this afternoon.

1. The sun is shining and the Earth has an aroma of springtime that refreshes my spirit and makes me happy.
   
2. God has blessed me with great friends who have accepted me, shared with me, challenged my thinking and helped me to grow.
   
3. Grandma is out of the hospital and doing well.
4. My health is good and I can continue to mother.
5. I still have my father in my life. We have a good relationship, like we have always had. I'm grateful for the man he is and has been in my life.
6. I'm grateful for educators who have developed their talents and skills to help Liberty in her academic life, where I fall short.
7. ...and I'm happy I still have several years to convince Liberty that she does not "need to change [her] name to Bella so that Edward will fall in love with [her] so [she] can live happily ever after". Whew!
