Eighth Birthday in Pictures

Sad my baby is eight, but so happy that many more great life experiences lie ahead in her future.

Yes, she had to have this New Moon cake topper for her birthday, and yes, her dad gave in to her request.
No, she has not seen the movie- yet, or so she thinks.

Thank goodness for Grandpa and his pocketknife. Do real men even carry one anymore?

Bubble wrap was a hit at the party.

Nick pinning the tail on the dog- game board and tails courtesy of the birthday girl.
Grandma and Grandpa even got in on the fun...

Playing hooky to go sledding and catch a few jumps. Thanks to Aunt Julie for the new birthday tube.

Perk of the day: a beautiful park full of hills, all to ourselves.

We even found an infamous snow eater:

A pit stop for birthday dinner at Olive Garden, for none other then their macaroni and cheese.
Then off to Temple Square to see some lights:

  2. Hey-
My dad still has his pocketknife on hand for every needed moment. Must be the great 'hood we grew up in.

Your girls are darling and hope you have a Merry Christmas (didn't get around to cards this year). BTW, my boys love your dad!

  3. The pictures of the girls sledding, and discovering other uses for snow, were grand! For some reason, reminds me of the time you took me and 2 year old Aspen to the canal to go tubing..
