Comcast sent us on an all expenses paid day to the Hogal Zoo. Okay, maybe not gas expenses, but entrance and lunch. Mick had to work on Comcast's state wide party day, so we decided to brave crowds and go on Labor Day. Yeah. I know. It was not a smart day to choose, but it was use it or loose it!
We were excited to take our monkeys to the zoo and let them run with their kind.
Among the favorites were the slow moving reptiles (Liberty and Abbie).
Jumping diving and swimming penguins (Abbie and Aspen).
Apes, monkeys and lemurs (Aspen and Abbie) and the cutest, biggest baby giraffe a girl could ever hope to see (me).
The Carousel packed a round n' round punch of fun too.
Unfortunately for Aspen, the train was out of commission but Mick made up for her sadness by a trip to the souvenir shop where I'm certain we spent as much money as Comcast saved us on both entrance fees and lunch. I have to remind myself that Mick loves to spoil the girls and they won't rot from being given a few unnecessary plastic toys they need like a hole in their heads.
It was a beautiful day at the zoo!
