Monetary benefits are slim to none working for Icon, but the incentives of my lab rat job are invaluable. Right up there with getting paid to exercise, picking my own hours, chatting with lovely ladies for hours at a time, one free turkey at Christmas and Beaver Mountain Ski nights; Icon Lagoon Night is as good as it gets for a part time bottom dweller employee such as myself. Love my job!
Anyhow, the girls look forward to Lagoon Night each year at summers end. Mick and I love to see them enjoy the rides. The whole park is rented out solely for Icon which mean- NO LINES! We are fed dinner, given a chance to win prizes and the opportunity to toss our cookies at any given ride.
Good times all around.
This year, Abbie was able to take part in the fun,

Aspen rode the octopus ride till wet.

Liberty loved the bat while Mick wanted to puke...

but he had a hay day on the sky ride waving to Abbie and I.

Liberty was sad she was not tall enough to ride the swings, so we had to get a picture by them. It's no wonder why we all wish to grow up so fast when we're little. Who wants to be told they are too short to ride the swings?

Ladybug Drop was the most beloved ride of the night, if it isn't obvious.

These four people are the cutest Lagoon goers ever! Love them to pieces. They made the night so much fun.
Until next year...
Lagoon at Night-How FUN!!! Cute pics!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!! Last time we went (4 years ago) Tyson wouldn't ride anything, so we haven't been back since. Hopefully soon we'll give it another try.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun pictures! I think it is great that your company is still doing things like this. So many have cut out family fun things, even Christmas parties.
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun for families - just awesome!
Looks like all the Perkins had fun at Lagoon this year, Kala just made a post about it as well. This is random but did you know that the owner of ICON was the mission president of my area in Taiwan? The people of Taichung, Taiwan still speak of their love for Brother & Sister Watterson.
ReplyDeleteYes, Tabbi, I did know that. I've met their son Eric. He came to Florida with me last year. Stand up guy. A sweet heart. I imagine his parents exactly the same, though I've never met Scott.
ReplyDeleteCherie, it's a great family oriented company to work for. That is what I love about it! And... thank goodness for 12 year traditions.
Try again soon Kim- that is funny!
