Peaceful Rioting?

OH LOOK... more X's

Just as my beloved orange friends were threatening to disappear from rain and snow (heaven forbid), lovely Logan city came to repaint them. Leave it to city bureaucrats to get their constituents all hot and bothered and then not come through with their silly demands that we must conform. This will be the third family of X's to arrive, I wonder how many more will show up before the plan is actually carried out?

Mr Geier says UDOT has issued Logan City the permit need to go forward with the removal of marked parkstrip concrete on my street. It's scheduled in the next two weeks. Sure. I'll have to see it to believe it!

I have reached the end of my fight and have succumbed to this Nazi enforcement of city code.
I've lost the battle and I am weary from the fight. I'll resist hostile takeover, not by chaining myself to the sidewalk as I had originally stated, instead I will use my freedom of speech by posting a big bold sign in my yard. A sign so big for all the world to see as they drive down the highway. I will use my voice in written word, informing all citizens of the disgusting details of this take down, and warn them of Logan City lumping good quality ,loyal ,law abiding, tax paying citizens together with law breakers, petty crime makers and jail house attendees.

I wonder how many young families will be persuaded to find a home elsewhere? I hope not many because secretly I want them to move in, I'll just educate them on city politics in the meantime.

Logan city can take my concrete, I hate the non natural feel and look of concrete anyhow. Take my safe accessibility and civil liberty to enter my PRIVATE property, just know one more car can fit in front of my house. How's that for beautifying the neighborhood and creating safe road conditions! Steal my hard earned tax dollars to waste on frivolous removal projects instead of addressing occupancy laws directly, installing much needed sidewalks around my block or other so called non-beautiful neighborhoods, fixing up schools, parks and trail systems. The list could go on and on.

What's that you say James?

I can just install bricks or rocks into the space where my concrete now exists so I don't loose the accessibility onto my property?
Seems as though that is exactly the purpose of my trusty little concrete friend who resides in my parkstrip now.

Oh, we just can't have any sort of permanent structure in the parkway?

Well my concrete is obviously not permanent if your threatening it's removal now is it?

I could fight and argue until I'm diplomatically blue in the face. It would not do any good.
But my sign and writing to the paper...oh I'm looking forward to that statement...

  2. Park your car on it with a sign in the back window. It doesn't do much but they have to come ask you to move it.
