25 Random Facts, Goals, or Things About Me!
1) I'm intrigued by the relationship of sisters. I consider myself skipped. Every day I feel an emptiness without one. Luckily I have great sister-in-laws and dear friends that are close to my heart. We may have originated from different gene pools, but they help fill the emptiness. Sorry ladies...add one more crazy mix of estrogen to your already full platter!
2) My husband is my best friend and knows me better than anyone. I know it suits him despite that I am afraid of flying balls, lack athletic talent, and have no understanding how a picture arrives on a TV screen.
3) Fact: Not that I'm necessarily proud of this, but, I've kissed as many boys as I was old when I got married. The last guy was the best!
4) I feel more at ease surrounded by a group of men then I do women. Lack of #1 maybe?
5) Having three daughters has taught me: to love the color pink, laugh hysterically for no good reason, dance around to primary songs in PJ's and woolly socks, and enjoy being a girl. An important feat for me.
6) I love sugar but it doesn't love me, just my fat cells.
7) I love love love chocolate, and it loves me! A perfect symbiotic relationship. It needs to be eaten and I need to eat it. Simple as that.
8) A quiet hot bath with the lights down low and a good book really replenishes my soul.
9) I believe people treat you the way you let them treat you.
10) Near future goals include: A master's degree, An Olympic weightlifting competition, Voice over lessons with Scott Shurian.
11) My favorite mode of transportation is biking.There's nothing quite like the wind in your hair powered by your own legs.
12) I get emotionally attached to pets, so I will never have another one! It's too heart wrenching when they die, or get ran over by their loving owner!
13) I fear rejection so much that it inhibits my creativity.
14) I plan to get published... one day. I'm a nerd for the written word, even if I do lack spelling abilities.
15) I can't get rid of my baby items. Is this a sign?
16) Fall has a taste in the air that makes me yearn for days gone by, and days to come, an interesting combination.
17) Exercise makes me happy and I need it too. Heaven knows happy is a good characteristic of motherhood. Bring on the exercise!
18) My dad is my hero. Next in line are: my brother Jeff, my Aunt Sheila, and my mother.
19) A firm affirmation of mine: People come into your life for a reason. There is much to be learned-both negative and positive- and characteristics to be copied by everyone sent your way.
20) I love to learn and jump at every opportunity afforded me.
21) I believe service blesses the receiver, but even more the giver. Strange how it all works.
22) I once carved my name in a tree next to the name of a (stupid) boy I thought I loved. I've regretted it ever since. Natural Resources colleagues would be devastated to know this.
23) "Dear John" by Nicholas Sparks is my all time favorite read. So much to identify with.
24) My hope, is that when I am 50 something, and my children have left the house: that they will be great people, making great things out of their lives and that they will still love me and think I'm 'the best mom in the world'.
25) My best decision: going to college! I learned you don't need sexy underwear to be sexy, and you don't need hair done and make-up on to be beautiful! Oh yes... and many other things too!
