(Liberty's pipe cleaner Christmas Princess crowns she made us)I threw a My Little Pony hair brush down the stairs into the great abyss of the toy room. I was tired of picking it up in several different locations throughout the day, and when it ended up on the table before dinner- I tossed it where it belongs.
I'm trying desperately to eliminate toys upstairs. Liberty doesn't like this rule and is continually bringing toys up and leaving them places. She gets upset with me often when she can't find a toy. "Liberty", I say "I threw it downstairs because you would not come and put it away when I asked".
Items that I toss down, have a tendency to be eaten and lost forever by the black toy-eating-monster who lives in the abyss. A horrible occurrence which Libby is frustrated by- but I love because I cease having to pick them up again.
Today, I received an atypical reply for my action with the hair brush.
"Mom, you be careful, or dad will fire you"!
What I wanted to tell her amid my laughter...
You don't have to fire me. For today, I quit!
That's so funny, I think Charlie took it upon herself to fire me last week. So far no one else has shown interest in doing the job. George came up to me while I was reading your post and said, "Who is that in the picture with Charlie?" That picture really does resemble her.
