This picture has nothing to do with my post except that I love this little momma and her happy self. She felt in this photo, the way I did on Friday. Happy from head to toe.
Icon was having a parking lot sale where most merchandise was up to 70% off. Libby and Abbie and I went to scavenge through the boxes of $5 clothes and find an exercise ball. I was looking at the weight equipment and found an 8ft long tubular box with the words 7ft Olympic Cast Iron Bar written on its label. I was certain I knew what this box contained, and I was excited! I located a salesman (almost as difficult a challenge as finding a Walmart associate) and asked him to open one. Sure enough, it was my long awaited 45lb weightlifting bar.
"How much is it" was my next question. He walked over to a man in charge. As I followed him, the man in charge became familiar. I noticed he was Dave, the videographer from Pink Fitness.
"Oh, hey Jen, are you trying to go pro"! said Dave as he introduced me to the salesman as "This is Jen, one of our ladies from Pink Fitness". Then the salesman and I shook hands.
"Great to meet you Jen"
"You too" Mr Salesman.
"Are you wanting to buy a bar"? Dave asked.
"Yes, I've been looking to find a good deal for a while now, do you have one for me"?
"Here, take it"! as he filled out a blue sold slip and the salesman ran it to my truck for me. Such service! I wanted to give him a great big kiss, I was so HAPPY! I resisted and told him how grateful I was to be the recipient of such beautiful bar with a great sale price. Oh Happy day.
I squatted with 45lbs on Saturday. The next step- finding some plates and a rack!
Don't you just LOVE awesome bargains?! They somehow make everything in the world seem right again. Well, at least for 5 minutes anyway, when you're savoring the happiness!
ReplyDeleteAbbie's getting so big, I can't wait to see her in October!
ReplyDeleteI want to see photos of you squatting/lifting, being the tough and impressive woman you are.
