Wet little women

Over the past two weeks Aspen and Liberty have participated in swim lessons. The first two days, they both whined and cried about not wanting to go 'ever again'. Teacher Gin called and placed each of them in a lower level, and I could no longer hear the end of 'when is swimming going to start'. They both had so much fun and enjoyed it fully. Their most hated part of swimming, that quickly became their favorite, was jumping off the diving board. I was proud of them for sticking it out and learning to love it despite their challenges.

The last day- Parent Day- Mick and I were so hot, it took all we had not to jump in and celebrate the end of swim lessons. We desperately needed a reprieve from the heat! At one point during Liberty's lesson, I thought I might be headed in when her head went under. My heart raced with adrenaline. Luckily, she had only slipped off the last stair and needed to find her footing. I laughed in spite of myself. Such a motherly reaction! Below you can enjoy Libby's Nemo fish swim, a favorite of hers. Aspen is seen in her big jump! Notice how well she swims after it, she was quite proud of herself! I absolutely loved how much they learned in such a short amount of time, props to Gin's swimming. I highly recommend it to anyone in Cache Valley.
