Top Ten Reasons I Loved My Visit to Mom and Dad's (7-4)

7) Shopping with Grandma. Normally I detest shopping, but going with Grandma makes it so much more fun. We were able to use a gift card for free purchases and found some lovely newborn necessities- all in hues of yellow, orange and green of course.

6) Sleeping in. With no children to wake up with/for, I entertained a bed until mid mornings on a few occasions. While the world went on without me I peacefully slumbered. It was wonderful up until the morning I really needed to sleep in (late night chatting with mom) and then someone decided to run a dump truck in reverse the entire morning. BEEP BEEP!

5) Afternoon walks in the sunshine. Flowers and trees were budding in masse everywhere the eye could see. Even the stale cold winter air had departed and left behind smells of growth and warmth. With temperatures above 55, I definitely enjoyed a taste of spring with my break. No coat needed.

4) Home renovation went on with out me. I didn't even have to help this time. While away, Mick, Jeff and several other men were busy bees getting two rooms started (and almost finished!) in our remodel room swap. New electrical, heat ducts, closets, cable wiring, ceiling lights- you name it. Up next, I get the fun part of picking out paint colors and decorating. In the mean time, the house looks like a tornado touched down, but at least I know my babies will be warm in the attic loft next winter with the aid of a powerful new heat vent cousin Scott put in (Thanks Kayce, for lending Scott to the cause for so many hours!).
