Special Day
Carson and Nick were baptized today. They were taught by the missionaries and super excited for their special day. Getting baptized was their choice and I think they chose wisely. I'm super impressed that they go to church by themselves, attend activities and realize the importance of it in their lives. I hope they continue to do so. They really are such good boys who I feel lucky to know and be related to. They also have pretty great parents.
It was a marathon day but we all enjoyed ourselves. Rising early we traveled a few hours, attended the service, ate good food, visited family and friends, then traveled back home.
Mom gave a talk on baptism and its importance. She was just getting into the thick of it when Abbie said, "Mom, I'm going to puke", so off to the restroom we ran only to catch the tail end of grandma's talk when we returned. Luckily this time was a false alarm since we had already had one puking incident in the car on the way down. One time is enough for any day.
Mick was happy to perform the baptisms. It was a special moment for him to serve in this capacity. The boys had called and asked him a few months back and it made his day. He could really use a son, but fortunately we have lots of great nephews for fill ins.
