The Great Dust Bowl of 2012 occurred in our home last night. It was a man vs. drywall battle. Someone was none to happy about his loss.
Yesterday morning I spent a good two hours cleaning every surface of our main floor. Hardwood looked shiny again. Furniture was dusted. Floors and couches were sucked of alien substances. Unfortunately I thought the big dust storm had already reared its ugly head and I was just late getting around to sweeping up its remnants.
Wrong.
Waking this morning, all my shining, polishing, disinfecting, sweeping efforts- which induced high blood pressure flashes of light in my vision- were literally coated with a fine white powder. Just like my ghost husband of the wee hours of last evening.
Should I clean it all up again today? The kitchen, yes. Cleanliness in food prep is a must. The rest will need to patiently wait until we actually start to paint. There is bound to be a Second Great Dust Bowl of 2012 this evening.

Poor Mick. He looks so tired. Glad he is working hard to finish this project before the new little one gets here. Way to go Mick!!!
