I asked her if I could record her performance and she jumped in the chair and said "Yes, tell me when your ready"! This was her third rendition. She said in the second one that she wasn't singing loud enough, and the first one we hadn't videoed. She told me she wanted me to post her song on the blog. So here she is.
Mick and I especially love the emaciated back up performer who arrives on the scene at 30 seconds.
Words:
Oh Grandmother, I wrote you a song.
I hope you like it.
So won't you listen to me for a second.
Hang up the phone, cause it's about you. It's pretty.
Could you give me a break....
Oh Grandmother, I'm finished with this song.
Did you listen at all? Did you listen at all?l
Do you like me at all?
"Yes, I do".
You love me too.
I hope you like it.

I planned to sign Aspen up for guitar lessons come August. Eight is a good age to start music, or so I hear. I might have to get her going on it earlier. She loves writing, singing and strumming. Didn't she do fabulous?
So cute! I know a guy that teaches out of his home by the temple (he used to be in Ryan Shupe band) if you need a good teacher!
ReplyDeleteWow! She loves it and had natural talent - that is truly fabulous!!
