Two is New

Chiga had another birthday, a party and cake.
She enjoyed the cake part best. Two whole cupcakes worth of enjoyment! One would think her mother neglected to feed her dinner, but have no fear. She sat for quite some time precariously perched near the edge of the table devouring each frosting coated delight. When she was done with the second, her little hand reached forward handing me her cupcake wrapper and she said "aw done" and made her way off the table.

Abbie is a silly girl. Her personality really shines. She is full of spunk. She is loving. And is very much a chatter box these days. We are happy she is beginning to communicate instead of pointing and whining.

She has a sweet disposition until you make her mad. Similar to her mother, I suppose, but I love that she is fiery and stands up for herself. A girl with two older siblings has to acquire these characteristics early on in life.

She is enamored by most anything and loves getting into cupboards. She is constantly asking to brush her "teef" to the point of tantrums if she is denied (which is hard to do considering no parent wants to ruin a good habit). Reading books, collecting various leaves and sticks, coloring and watching "Caillou" are among her other favorite interests. I like Caillou too, because he teaches good values, morals and lets me have 23 minutes of shower bliss without threat of a certain little monkey climbing on the kitchen counters.

We love our Chiga and can't imagine life without her sweet spirit in our family. She makes all of us laugh and helps us to enjoy life's simple pleasures. Can't wait to see what the next year of her life brings.

Happy Birthday cute little terrible two! We love you!
