Valentines Tea

Aspen had a formal affair at the Ellis Elementary Valentines Tea. She looked beautiful and was giddy with excitement! She had to wear her purple satin dress and have her hair ironed straight.

Her dance partner was Abraham.

I know, a long name for a little guy, but he sure is cute....and short compared to our giant when she stands up straight!

They strutted their stuff to Jonas Brothers 'Burning Up'. The ball gown was a little obtrusive, as Aspen tripped and about fell down, but she didn't seem to mind. I could tell she felt beautiful and that brought a smile to my face.

What I liked about it: the disco ball on the ceiling,

and the teaching of manners: boys pulling the girls chairs and getting them a cookie and drink. The girls loving the attention and getting accustomed to chivalry.
It really was a cute production! Almost like prom, which admittedly scares me a bit, but it's all innocent!

  5. This is a great thing! Your daughter looks so pretty in her fancy gown. I wish there was more of this for younger kids - it teaches manners and how to act in a more formal setting.
Sound like she had a blast! How can you not with the Jonas Brothers playing and a beautiful dress!
