DK Studios

See Jen.

I loved my Pink fitness voice over session with D at his studio. Such a treat. It's been my favorite part of 'show biz' life thus far.

I arrived slightly unsure of what to expect. I was put at ease as soon as I met D. His set up is pretty posh. He was great to work with, showed me the tricks of the trade.

I learned:
1) That pantie hose could help muffle pa, ba, ca and those types of sounds (the little circle thing I'm speaking into). Luckily D had an upscale one instead of strapping his moms old hose to a cross stitch loom. Pretty accurate description though, really.

2) That I should have an agent. According to D I'm a natural and he was shocked I haven't worked in radio. I'm 31. Apparently that's a good age to get into voice over or radio. Umm, I know I could love it! I'm learning to say "thanks, that makes me feel good", but I'm sure D was just being sweet. Seriously, I want to try it again. D, I know a 'cute' girl with a good voice. Think of me if you need an added flare with any future endeavors, I'm game.

3) I like egg carton foam covered walls. The texture, deep color and coziness was welcoming.

4) Voice over is much less time consuming then film. Besides, I got to stand and talk vs sitting on a couch and smiling til my cheeks hurt. I like to talk, I know I'm good at that!

5) I giggle a lot while recording, but it sounds happy in really loud sound. I like happy. I think I should giggle more.

6) It's strange how different my voice sounds coming from a speaker than from my head. Still can't decide which one I prefer most.

7) D has engineered for and belongs in a really cool band called The Codi Jordan Band go here to enjoy this lovely ear candy. I think you'll like it. In fact, I know you'll love it- guaranteed! Check out Derek talking to Fox 13.

Thanks for a positive enlightening experience Derek. You really should do photography too.
All photo's courteous of DK studios.

Once again, I've been shown that I have the best husband who encourages me to reach out and chase more, all the while helping me to do it. Thanks for your support Mick! Did I mention he gave me the most beautiful pink roses upon my return from Florida? He even picked me up to spin in his arms as he welcomed me home. Such a great moment!

I like flowers.
I love Mick.
I have had such a great time trying 'new things' in life. I can't decide what I want to be when I grow up. Such choices.
