Politics amid Pumpkin Carving

Tonight, while steadily carving pumpkins Aspen brought up her concerns with the Presidential election.

"If McCain wins, the war will go on forever and no soldiers will come home. If Obama wins the war will end and then he will let the soldiers come home".

If only conflict resolution were that easy.

Mick said a few minutes later...

"We need to keep peace in the middle east".

Uuuumph, I wonder where his vote will sway?



On the phone today- dad asked if I voted.
"Yes, on Monday", I happily replied.
"Has Mick voted", he questioned.
"Not yet".

"You tell him that people who don't vote can't whine about the outcome", he said.
