Icon Lagoon Night

Welcome to the Bat(well, half of it anyway). Please keep your head back, arms inside the ride at all times and hold on tight. Hope you enjoy your ride!

The family headed to Lagoon for Icon Night last night. Most of us, I should say. Abbie would not have had much riding fun anyway. She stayed with Grandma Perkins for the evening and had a delightful time, I'm sure. I thought it would be funny to record the Bat ride and see just how the perspective looks.
Libby loved the Bat. She rode it about 7 times total! The thrill was too much, and she was tall enough!

Aspen's favorite ride was the swings where she rode with her arms stretched out- ready to fly. She also had a twirling good time on the tilt-a-whirl, Mick did not!

He had a great time teasing the girls, partaking in the drama of riding 'scary' rides, and telling children to beware of the spider-tigers who bite off hands and arms of those who stick theirs out of the train. It was so funny to see other children take him so seriously. He provided great entertainment for the evening.

In all, we took full advantage of getting soaked on the water luge, dropping from the sky in the lady bug, tossed around on the dragons tail, avoiding water from the spout of dolphins and sharks, being scared to death by the HONK on the terror ride, and had an enjoyable night at Lagoon. The girls passed out with ease on the way home, as mick and I basked in some adult conversation void of interruption. What more could we ask for? Being present to pick a prize from Ipods, exercise equipment, and laptops, when my name was called! How sad Mick and I were when we found out that we missed that free opportunity. Oh well- at least we were off having fun right!

  1. Totally AWESOME photos! They made me smile! Glad you had such a terrific time at Lagoon with your girls! You've had great opportunities to go this summer, bummer about the free laptop, though!
