Well, many of you have asked how my fitness and nutrition plan is coming along, my answer, great! I honestly have not been so good this week on the nutrition side of the twosome, but I shall do better after tomorrow! Free food/high calorie day is tomorrow, then I will eat what ever my heart desires-except margarine or carbonation, the bad no no's- and enjoy myself thoroughly! I'm sure you all wish you were eating with me tomorrow! I know Nancy does. She's been my trusted companion along the way to our body reshaping and weight loss. Unfortunately she has a different free day, that is how I'm certain she would want to be joining me. Nancy has had great progress with the program as have I. It has not been easy, but I'm pleased with the results so far. I've lost 26 lbs and 26+ inches. I take measurements tomorrow.
I'm now lifting 30 lbs plus body weight for my squats and curls at 3 reps of 10- I know I could do more, and I want to badly, but I need to get a bar and weights. Currently, I use a 12 lb bar and double up holding another bar at 18 lbs. It is difficult to juggle two bars. If anyone has access to a bar and weights that they are not using- I would gladly give them a little attention. They are expensive to buy, and since I'm a stay-at-home mom and married to the cable guy, (sorry honey) money is in short supply around these parts. I use my 18lb bar for the PinK fitness workouts. Trust me they are hard, even at a wimpy sounding 18 lbs. We do 3 reps of the PinK workout three times a week as well.
I want to keep continuing this program until February- hopefully achieving my healthy goal weight and muscular physic. I'm hoping to get into the other side of weight lifting and start doing a few little competitions. I love the Olympic snatch and clean and jerk. You probably saw them performed during the Olympics. They are beautiful and impressive when done well at a high weight. I would love to shoot for the summer games next year. Debbie- who started this program- has a coach from Hungary and one from the US. They both commented on my form and flexibility and think I have what it takes to compete. We shall see. Time, money and children are always a factor!
About three weeks ago 7 of the original 69 ladies who started the program were chosen to continue with the program and see it into the final phase. I was so excited to be chosen. Unfortunately Nancy was not and we are both not sure why. She has had significant inches and weight loss. She's still continuing along with me, and that makes me happy. She is a great support for me! Nancy looks fabulous! Way to go Nancy- I'm very proud of you- I know how hard it has been! Any how, a few weeks ago, Icon-who is sponsoring the start up of the program- set up photo shoots for us ladies, complete with hair and make-up artists. It was such fun. I've never been so dolled up in all my life. I have to say that I was looking pretty good that day thanks to the professionals. My modeling career will have to wait though! I'm so thankful to my personal shopper Alice. She was so helpful in helping me find cute clothes that actually fit my body for the photo opt. Alice is a friend of mine who is the best shopper alive! She may even rival my grandma for top shopper. Thanks Alice, I'm looking forward to going again in October for the final photo shoot! I learned so much about shopping that I never knew!
Last Wednesday and Friday I shot the DVD's for the program- soon to be out in December- I've never been so sore as I was Friday after lifting weights and doing 100's of full snatches for five hours. I'm unbelievably curious to see the end results. It was a lot of fun to be involved with but at the same time, so much work! I was quite the sweaty pig! I'll have to show you all a glimpse of my stardom when the DVD's come out. For now, I will be working on following everything strictly and hope I succeed at my goal. I'll let you know when I reach it. Sorry- no pic today. I wish I had one of my hot self on the day of the photo shoot, I've seen them and they look really good! If I get one, I'll post it sometime.
You're doing fabulously and I'm so proud of you for your faithfulness to it. The results are gorgeous, for sure! I'm dying to see one of the photos of that day!
