Once again, another year has flown by and I'm left contemplating the effect of the wind, rain and warmth. I was pregnant, I gave birth, I was sleep deprived, now, life is seeming as normal as could be. For this I am grateful. Happy Birthday to me.
This year (31) should be a steady ebb and flow. Mom and Dad came up to celebrate the 4th with us Perkins'. Mom brought me an awesome clothesline that folds into itself so as not to strangle the tall passerby (aka Mick). We've already hung wet towels and had them dry like magic! Thank goodness for sunshine and a nice breeze. Aspen wrapped in a gift bag: The New Testament with pictures (from her Library), a beautiful card she illustrated of me bending over opening a present, complete with a heart colored with sparkle lip stick; and last, but not least... a can of Mick's Vienna sausages from the kitchen drawer! She really put a lot of thought into it, and it made my heart happy! Ruthi gave me a great little sewing kit I'm excited to use with my newest endeavor- bow making. We had a yummy ice cream cake and BBQ, and fireworks to top off the day, courtesy of our own pyrotechnic, Mick. Thank you to everyone for making my day special.
